QuestionDear Dr. Ramirez,
I am 32 yrs old, have PCOD and have been trying to get pregnant for 6 yrs. My Obgyn put me through a clomid cycle and I got the ovulation injection three days ago. My Obgyn has now asked me to take Susten and Deviry. My question is if Deviry 10 mg detrimental to concieve and hold pregnancy or is it alright to take it now. I have always taken Deviry to induce periods. I have been wondering if its okay to take it now?
Many Thanks.
AnswerHello Nans from the U.S.,
Deviry is a progesterone and is used to induce a period if one does not occur spontaneously. It is not a fertility drug and not used for luteal phase support or first trimester pregnancy support. It should not be used for these purposes.
