1 follicle in each ovary)and the doctor gave me injection
hucog 10,000 for rupture and called me after 48 hrs to see
whether it ruptured or nt.i couldn't go to the doctor and i

can i kno tht i ruptured or nt without having my monitoring
done.is there any chances that i have nt ovulated inspite of
the injection taken(i have always ovulated by the injection
before)

Answer
Hello Shazia from India,

At this point, the only way to know if ovulation occurred is an indirect test called a mid-luteal progesterone level.  If it is over 10, then it is presumed that you ovulated.  An ultrasound at this point will not help.

There is always the possibility of having a retained follicle that does not ovulate.  It occurs even in natural cycles.  Usually if that is the case, you will not have a period and the pregnancy test will be negative.

Good Luck,
