Cervical Polyps & PCOS: Impact on Fertility & Treatment Options

Hello Dr. amn juliet form Nigeria. i have been diagonised of PCOs and ever since i have been trying to conceive but to no avail. i have taken clomid for 5months ranging form 50mg to 100 mg. my dr. refused to give me hcg shot, he sent me for another hormornal test which is yet to come out. but today i want to scan and there saw a cervical polyps. i am affaird, will it prevent me from getting prgnant. most times i use Provera to start my period. my hubby and i seriously need children. pls advice me. the cervical polyps is giving me concern. my weight was 85kg before but now am 80kg. because i was told that is overwieght that is causing the problem. my height is 5.2 and am 29yrs.

am about to start another set of Provera to start my period b/c i have not seen my period for two months and have gone for PT and it negative.

pls help me with your advice.

Cervical polyp may interefere with pregnancy preventing it or sometimes leads to abortion depending on its size. usually these complications occur with huge polyps. Your main problem as i see it is to get ovulation. There are many methods to induce ovulation starting with clomid, if no response the dose of clomid is increased, and if still no response, other drugs can be added.

Losing weight is of major concern in your case. it helps a lot.
