Answer
Hello Monica from India,

The diagnosis of PCO is NOT made by ultrasound, it is made by multiple signs and symptoms of which irregular cycles is a requirement.  Just because a woman's ovaries look like PCO ovaries does not make the diagnosis.  The problem with PCO is the lack of ovulation due to an ovarian dysfunction.  So, if you don't have that problem, because you are ovulating regularly and have regular menstrual cycles, then even if you were a latent (non-clinical# PCO, it would not make a difference.  I think your doctor is grasping at strings. . .

At your age, you are in her highest fertile years. You should have gotten pregnant within 1 year.  Since you have not, something is not working correctly or not normal and the cause has to be found.  You certainly have had some testing done, some very important ones, and thankfully these were normal.  Your doctor needs to keep looking.  I would recommend a diagnostic hysteroscopy to check the uterine cavity, then a laparoscopy to check for pelvic endometriosis or adhesions, and an end cycle #before your period) endometrial biopsy to rule out luteal phase defect or other endometrial malformation preventing implantation.

Finally, you might want to consult a fertility specialist.
