QuestionQUESTION: i did et one grade one, since i only had 2 good quality ones. This is my first ivf/icsi, my self and DH 33. i started spotting 7th day after et. on 8th day evening it was almost like AF, heavy red bleeding. I was devastated, now i'm trying to be hopeful. My coordinator advised me to do blood test tomorrow. 2 days before scheduled blood test.
I really hope and pray to God, that there will be a miracle. coz i've heard some women being pregnant even after heavy bleed. i know it's a least possibility but i'm hopeful. Appreciate your guidance..
ANSWER: Hello Angelbaby from Indonesia,
I would recommend that you look at my blog where I have written specifically about bleeding after embryo transfer. It is one of the most highly read articles in my blog.
At this point, nothing is definite until you have your pregnancy test done. Bleeding, even bleeding like a period, can be normal after an IVF cycle and occurs quite frequently. Many of these will turn out to be normal pregnancies, but some will be a failed cycle. Without the blood test you cannot distinguish one from the other. At this point you can only hope for the best.

QUESTION: i got my results, it's negative. i'm very depressed, but trying to move along with hope
AnswerHello Again,
I am sorry for your result, but keep trying. IVF is not a perfect technology. The last two steps the body has to go through to become pregnant are natural steps that we have no control over. So for that reason, there is not a 100% pregnancy rate. However, if you keep trying, you will eventually succeed.
Also keep in mind that the clinic and doctor makes a huge difference as to your chances of success. You need to evaluate that. IVF in the wrong hands or the wrong place will significantly reduce your chances!
