QuestionHello,
I got off the contraceptive pill in April in hope of getting pregnant with my second child (I have a 2.5 year old, got pregnant within 1 month of trying). My cycles seemed stabilized at around 31 days up until 2 cycles ago. I had a 42 day cycle and then today I'm on cycle day 42 and still no menses in sight... I admit the past few months have been a little stressful, but I thought I have relaxed and the period should come by now. I am 29 years old, slim and work out about 3 times a week (I only do cardio, nothing excessive. I did bloodwork and it came back good. What can I do to get my cycles back on track to try to get pregnant? Do you recommend Vitex? Please help
AnswerHello JoJo from the U.S. (Boston),
You have some type of ovulatory or ovarian dysfunction going on. You need to see a specialist and undergo evaluation. The hormone tests may be normal, but that does not mean that the ovaries are working normally. Until you get the ovaries working normally, pregnancy may be difficult. I would recommend that you see an infertility specailist.
I do not recommend Vitex.
