QuestionDear Doctor,
I am 29. I have been TTC for 3 months. Hemoglobin, throid everything normal. My GYNE then advised me to take HSG which came out normal (I ovulate normally). I am 5 days late , took HPT , but came out negative. I have never had irregular periods in my life ever. My cycle varies from 29 to 35 days . I am on CD 40. I spoke to my GYNE , she advised me to take beta HCG.
Please throw some light on this sir whether HSG could possibly delay period?
AnswerHello Rya from India,
HSG would not affect ovulation and therefore, would not affect your period. Certainly a bHCG (blood pregnancy test) is indicated.
