QuestionI am a 29 year old healthy, mother of 2. My children are 3 years and 15 months. Since the birth of my son, I have been back on ortho tricyclen. In September, I bled in the middle of my cycle which had NEVER happened before. My doc chalked it up to stress. Then in November, it happened again. He changed my pills to Ovcon. I feel bloated and crampy most all the time, on or off of the pills. I stopped taking the Ovcon thinking they were making me feel so bloated. I felt better in a few days, but now its back and I just got off of my period. I have asked several times if I should have a checkup or pap and they keep saying no. My mother had a hysterectomy at the age of 40 due to cervical cancer, so you can imagine I'm a bit paranoid. What would be your thoughts on this situation? Basically, I have had 6 periods since September and since this is very new to me, I'm worried. I did have freezing back in 1992 due to irregular paps, but nothing since. Thanks for your time.
Answerit might be two issues
1/ either there is an hormonal imbalance from the first pills
2/ there is a process going on
with your family history and the 1992 history you should first check it up as a pap smear and ultrasound
if your actual doc do not want to do anything just change.
if it is an hormonal imbalance then a specific pill will be needed to make you bleed and to reshape your hormone and endometrium and following that you should be ok.
but do not let it go investigate we never know .
although you are young for a cancer but you might have fibroma or myoma which are benign but giving these symptoms
so check it out
thanks
