QuestionI was recently told that a woman (especailly if she's younger)can get cervical cancer from having too much sex. Is this true? If so, how much is too much?
Thanks!
Carina
AnswerDear Carina,
To some extent it is true that a women could "possible" contract cervical cancer from having too much sex. But let me explain this further by telling you the "risk factor's" for getting cervical cancer:
*Becoming sexually active at a young age
*You or your partner have "several" sexual partner's
*Having a history of STD'"Sexually Transmitted Diseases" such as HPV
* Smoking or being around "second hand" smoke
*Diet low in fruits and vegetables
*Mother took DES to become pregnant
Having "un-protected sex is another factor that can lead up to contracting cervical cancer especially because of the HPV virus.
To learn more about this you can log on www.cancer.gov go into the listings of cervical cancer and what causes it. Also what someone may consider as being too much sex would not be enough for someone else.
"Your health is in your hands" my dear and you only have one body so please try to take care of it by learning what diseases are out here that will make it sick!
Thank you for your question.
Sincerely
Navita W. Gunter
