Diarrhea During Menstruation: Causes & Possible Explanations

Hello. I'm a 37 year old female that tries to eat and stay healthy. I'm about 5'4" & 112LBS. I was wondering why sometimes when I have my period, I get diarrhea with it? It's not severe or anything. And sometimes I don't get it when I have my period. But as I stated, sometimes I do. Is this normal? If so, what causes it to happen?

Hard to tell... but a couple of things come to mind... people with endometriosis can get this... also, it may just be irritable bowel syndrome that flares with your period.  I don't know if you eat differently around then... especially milk products...
