Sorbitol Intolerance and Persistent Vomiting: Possible Causes & Solutions

Would an intolerance of sorbitol cause vomiting.  My son has been vomiting for over a year.  GI doctor couldn't find anything wrong.  Allergy specialist didn't see anything that would cause that.  Another doctor suggested the sorbitol intolerance.  I didn't have enough presence of mind to ask what type of things have sorbitol.  He suggested taking sweet tea out of my sons diet.  Any ideas?

I doubt sorbitol intolerance... that would be very unusual.  I would look towards reflux or some other type of food intolerance.  You can try the sugar restriction, but I doubt that is the cause.

Good luck with this... these can be frustrating.... the key is, if he is gaining weight.... you have time to figure it out w/ your set of doctors........
