I have a question about my last three echo tests. Do you know if these numbers are normal? Has the problem advanced at all? What category, going by the echo(s) would the mitral regurgitation be in, 1,2,3,4? Thank you for your help.
Ejection Fraction 65% same on all 3 tests.
Fractional Shortening 38% same on all 3 tests.

I have the following symptoms:
Fatigue, short of breath while lying down and with exertion, ankles swelling, blue around lips after drinking any kind of fluid or exertion, chest pain. Hypertension, Atrial Tachycardia. Medicine: Toprol XL 100MG, Hydrochorothiazide 25MG.
AnswerSorry but I would have to see the actual test results side by side PLUS your symptoms before and after each change in medications and dose. This is best done by your personal doctor who can examine the valve sounds. This service is not able to provide this type of answer since we do not and can not have the opportunity to examine you. A doppler is a variable test and your values support that the tests may have not all been done on the same machine by the same technician which makes comparison of numbers impossible.
Ask your personal doctor to be sure of your progression since you do not appear to be doing better and ask for a cardiologist consultation.
