Ovarian Cyst Rupture: Symptoms, Causes, and What to Do

Question
Hi, I am not sure if you can answer this question.  I looked on Womans Health and did not see anything about ovarian cysts.  My question is.  I am 28 years old and on a low dose birth control pill.  For the past 2 months I have been having horrible hormone problems and very bad pain in my lower left side.  I decided to go about a month ago to the doctor.  She did an internal and checked me and said everything was fine.  I was still feeling pain on my left ovary.  I had to wait 3 wks to get an ultrasound done.  Finally MOnday I went for the ultrasound and they said that I had alot of fluid behind my uterous and pressing on my rectum and intestines.  She said I must have had a large ovarian cyst ruptured.  I still have so much pressure.   Especially at night when I am trying to sleep.  My doctor kind of blew if off and said my body will absorb the fluid.  My question is how long does it take for the fluid to dissolve and can I get an infection?  I am kind of upset how she blew me off.  Is it normal to still have pain from the fluid in my stomach?  It's a weird pain.  Sometimes in the morning I feel very nauseous, like morning sickness.  I don't understand why I had an ovarian cysts develop while being on the pill.  I also asked her if the cyst could have been causing hormone problems such as, acne, vaginal dryness, horrible periods and she said no, that something else must be the problem.  I did read that cysts can cause hormone imbalances, is this true?  I have 2 children.  The last cyst I had rupture was when my son was 2, he is now 7 and now my daughter is 2 and this happend again.  It's very strange almost cyclic.  Well if you can give me any answers I should would appreciate it.  Thanks.
