i noticed a bump right where my ear and scalp meet..and it hurts to touch..my grandma is a nurse and said its not where the lympth node is so what could this be?

This forum does not allow for the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions... you should see a doctor for a correct diagnosis.

Lymphnodes are in chains all around the ear and neck (peri-auricular lymphnodes).. and they can become "reactive" when there is an underlying infection.. becoming enlarged and tender.  However, it may also be a cyst of some type.  Best bet... see your MD and get it checked out.
