hi,
for the past 2 years i have had constant congestion it never clears. it goes back and forth from nostral to nostral and has been making my ear hurt as well. i saw an ent who said i have chronis sinitus and no allergies.sinus ct scan came back normal and no meds that they give me will work. ive had all the otc and all of the perscription nasal sprays and irrigations i was wondering if you have any clue what elese it could be or what elese i could try thanks

well this sound like me,i never had any allergys,now i cant even this my house,with out problems.

okay,see if this makes since.

you have become aware of postnasal drip when the mucus thickens. you can even produce less mucus than you do when its clear and thin,but it feels like more. doctors cant find anything. and that condition of course,is whats often called postnasal drip;

the dry air from heating or air-conditioning systems or stomach acid that irritates the back of your throat. heartburn. or air pollution-and not just the kind from a car and smokestackes. indoor air pollution from cigarette smoke can also bring it on. did you know the air in your house and some business is much worse then the air outside?

allergy to molds,dust,dust mites,pollan or animal dander[the tiny particles of skin that pets shed along with fur].

chronic sinusitus-repeated sinus infections-is often accompanied by headache and[you guessed it]postnasal drip. in this case,you'll have to treat the sinusitis if you want to turn off the drip.

well i suggest trying any over the counter medication for allergy,and this if it works. make sure you follow the directions.
