Intermenstrual Bleeding: Causes, Risks & When to See a Doctor

Hello,
I am 43 yrs old. Just had my period but after a week, I have spotted 2 days. The color is not bright red but rather more brown. Which is generally the color on the last day or 2 of my regular peiod.
Do you know what could be the cause?
Your help will be appreciated.

a lot of people spot in between periods, but when in your forties, that is termed "dub, dysfunctional uterine bleeding" and could be a sign of serious problems... I would usually do an EMB- endometrial biopsy.... kind of like an extended pap smear that causes some cramping, but isn't that bad..... ask your doctor about it....
