Questionhi, I am 26 yrs old and I am trying to conceive my 2nd child. The last couple of months I have started to notice that I spot several days before my period actually starts. Its more like trace of blood in the discharge. I am usually regular with 27 days cycle, and ovulate on day 13. This spotting starts around 8-9 days after ovulation and continues on till I get my period. I am concerned if this will affect me getting pregnant? could this be hormonal deficiency? Thanks

about 5% of women will experience spotting-a light staining of blood-regularly with ovulation. the key to this harmless kind of spotting doctors say,is that it happens almost every month near the middle of menstrual cycle. often this spotting is accompanied by mild pain on the right or left side of the abdomen.
your doctor will have to diagnose and prescribe treatment for unexplained spotting.
this spotting could also be the lack of ovulation turns out to be the cause of your spotting.
maybe it would be best to see your GYN doctor,to be safe.
