Navigating a Third C-Section: Pain Management & Second Opinions

I have was told by my OB doctor to have a Hysterectomy 2 years ago (Dr. stating that my uterus is mush).  I did not have the hysterectomy done.  When I went to him 5 months ago to tell him I was pregnant he was very upset and told me to have an abortion.  I got a second opinion and an ultrasound and 2 doctors stated that everything looks fine.  I am now 19 weeks and starting to have a lot of pain.  My question is, how painful is my 3rd C-Section going to be?  I am really scared.

Hello Mellissa. I don't understand why your next section should be any worse than the others. However, I urge you to go to a website called Nancy Wainer Cohen and learn how to avoid the next section. There is every chance that you can deliver vaginally- don't rely on your drs for encouragement in this area- they only want to schedule the birth to their convenience.
