Understanding Early Pregnancy Concerns: Threatened Miscarriage & Ultrasound Results

Question
Ok so I know there are tons of questions about this but im having a hard time relating to my situation. So on july 31st I went to the hospital for threatened miscarriage, I was bleeding and just found out I was pregnant, so they did a pap, felt my uterus, and sent me down for an ultrasound where I received a reg ultrasound and a transvaginal. The tech told me I was 6 weeks, 5 days as of july 31st, my babies heart beat was 120 and my levels were at 20,000. (Today it makes me 8 weeks 4 days today) I didn't know my lmp exactly I estimated june 5th and I told her it was a guess and also a unexpectedly short period. My questions are.. The dating of 6 weeks 5 days along is that from conception or is that from estimated last period and is the fetus on like 4 weeks old, the reason this is important is because I slept with a guy on may 31st and im wondering if there's any possible way that it is his child or if its the guy I was with in june. How do I know if that's my conception date or gestational age?

Answer
Victoria,

6 weeks, 5 days would have been calculated as if it was from your last period, not from conception.  It does mean the fetal age would be calculated as two weeks less than that, or 4 weeks, 5 days.

After an ultrasound, they tell you how many weeks into your pregnancy you would be, not the fetal age.  So, based on this information, you most likely conceived around June 28th.

Given any of these dates, it's impossible for the man in May to be the father as you'd have to be a month further along than you are.
