B12 Injection Error: What to Do If You Have a Skin Knot

Question
Hi,

I did something really dumb. I take B12 shots per my doctor, but I've found that I get low and my feet get crampy. My doctor has said one shot a month should be fine and insurance won't cover any more than that. So someone said they have a bottle of B12 rather than the individual vials. So I bought some liquid on B12 that you use under the tongue and injected some where I normally do in my upper arm. Now it hurts and there's a knot under the skin. So I'm worried I shouldn't have done this. I know this was dumb, but now I've done it(about an hour ago). It's also warm. So maybe there was bacteria in there too? Is this likely to cause serious harm to me? Will it probably go away after a bit? Is there a point where I need to go see someone? I don't know what they could possibly do for me now that I've done it though. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I won't be doing this ever again.

Answer
there probably isn't bacteria but there are ingredients for taste that don't absorb well and you may get an abscess there because of retained solids.... it probably will go away but if it gets red or painful.... you will need that treated......

B12 in general is very very cheap... ask your doctor for more and pay cash for it
