Understanding Areola and Nipple Changes in Males: Causes & Concerns

Hello and thank you for your time,
I am a 16 year old male and i have had a very annoying thing going on with my Areola (area around the nipple) and nipples. I do not know if it is normal but i do not like it and it makes me very self conscious. My Areola and nipples have become very puffy and large, my nipple area looks as if i were over weight, but i am in great shape and i have a very low body fat percent. They have been this way for about one year and are getting no better. When i flick or pinch them they shrink down and become hard like a normal nipple looks but then goes back to the puffy look after a few seconds. Is there anything i can do to make my nipples and areola become smaller and less puffy, like a normal nipple should be?

that is part of maturing... the hormone surges cause some growth of that area..... assuming you don't use anabolic steroids, that will go away in several months, but that is pretty common... there isn't a good treatment for it short of expensive plastic surgery.
