Answer
Dear Candace,

Having this disease and no insurance really sucks. Believe me, I know, as I am in the same boat.

The Endometriosis Accociation may be able to point you in the right direction. You probably have to contact them by email and explain what your situation is. Usually, they ask you to become a member before they will give out lists of doctors that might help. I think it is somewhere around $30 a year. The money goes towards research to help find a cure. I am not sure of the web site, but if you Google it you will have no problem finding it.

There are also specialists that will work with you on the cost of Exscion surgery in Georgia. (Atlanta). For some one with no insurance they will drop the cost to right around $3000. Plus of course they hospital fees. The starting price of surgery with them is $6000. Great deal if you can come up with the money.

Since I do not have insurance, my friends are putting together a benefit to help payfor the cost of my surgery. We have friends in different bands that are going to play at a show all day for no cost. Then they will charger like a $10 admission. If you know anyone, this is another great idea.

Keep in touch by sending me your email and if I hear of anything I can let you know.

Oh, there are also many hospitals that are constantly doing research on Endo and have these studies where they ask people to join in the study. Usually all meds are paid for if you have a problem with paying for any kind of treatment medications. Your best bet, if you want to look into anything like that, is to get in touch with the BEST hospital in your area....within like 50 miles, and ask them if they are having anything like that.

Let me know if I can be of any more help and my prayers go out to you.

Sincerely,

Angie
