QuestionIf you were born on Feb.14 of 93 what date or around what time was you conception. What is the average weight and height for a new born baby, some people say it's anything from 6lb to 8lb.Is it true that every labor has a different time.
AnswerHello,
IF Feb. 14th was the due date or very close to it, conception would have been around the last two weeks in May. An exact date isn't possible.
Length and weights below are an average only, and can be influenced by mothers health, babies health, parents size, gender, order of birth and nutrition during pregnancy.
Most babies who are born full-term (between 37 and 40 weeks) weigh somewhere between 6 pounds, 2 ounces and 9 pounds, 2 ounces.
The average length for a full-term infant usually ranges from 19 to 21 inches.
Averages:
Weight: 7 pounds, 5 ounces
Length: 20 inches
A premature baby is born before 37 weeks gestation and usually weighs less than 5 and 1/2 pounds
As for your last question, I'm not sure if your asking about the length of labor or when labor starts so I'll answer both.
A due date is a estimate only. Babies can be born two weeks before or two weeks after. It is based on a calculation rule from 1850 and is called Naegles Rule. They take the Last Menstrual Period, add 7 days then subtract 3 months. The rule is based on if EVERY WOMAN had a PERFECT 28 day cycle and exactly 266 days of being pregnant, the due date would be right.
Less than 5% of all women give birth on their due date.
As for the length of labor, that is also very individual and will vary with each birth she has. In general, second, third labors are shorter.
The average labor is 12 to 14 hours but can be much shorter or much longer.
Hope that answered your questions :)
