Question
QUESTION: sir,am 23 year old female trying to conceive for the past 4 months.we r following the ovulation period..this month only i came to know about the cervical musus and its relation with ovultation.my last periods started on 29th may.so according to that toady or tomorrow is my ovulation day.but i am not having that egg white cervical mucus.wat i have is very little and its white and sticky.its not egg white and strechy.on 8th of this month i had some thing like egg white that streches and was found in abundance..am very much confused..we had contacts daily from 8th till today.but from past two days i dont have any mucus.what does this mean...please advice...am waiting for the repy

ANSWER: It sounds like you ovulated on the 8th.  Are you also charting your basal body temperature?  This would help you to confirm ovulation.

Ovulation does not occur at the same time in every woman.  Some women ovulate earlier in their cycle, some later.  You can't use the calendar alone to determine your ovulation date.  Only by charting your cervical mucous and your temperature together can you be sure of your ovulation.

QUESTION: thank you so much for the reply.one more query that i have in my mind is that, does ovulation occur around the same time every month??last month i think i ovulated around 8th ,which is the 11th day of my cycle.next month will i ovulate at around the same time?one more question is that last month 8th i found the egg white discharge.we had contacts on 8th ,9th,10th.is there any good chances of conception?6th and 7th we dint have contacts....
ANSWER: If your cycles are regular, you should ovulate on the same day each cycle.  However, not every woman is clockwork regular like this, so it's best to monitor yourself rather than rely solely on the calendar.

Once you ovulate, the egg can survive for up to 48 hours, so there is definitely a chance of conception for you this month.  You can test in just a few more days, so good luck!

QUESTION: thanks for your reply.how early can i know if am pregnent or not?what are the very early symptoms of pregnency?today am having a lower abdomen pain.is this a symtom of pregnency? today is the 20th day of the cycle.my ovulation was around 8th of june(11th day of the cycle).please reply me
ANSWER: You can start testing today!  The most sensitive pregnancy tests can detect a pregnancy as early as 10 days after conception, although it can take up to 14 days to get a positive result.  Early pregnancy symptoms include nausea, food aversions, swollen and tender breasts, and round ligament pain (these are sharp pains in your lower abdomen, usually occurring when you change positions or cough).  Good luck!

QUESTION: thank u so much for ur reply.how early can be a home pregnency test done to get the best result?am not having any symptoms of pregnency.one day i had a little abdomen pain and today am feeling very tired.this can be due to other reasons also...no implantation bleeding also..but still can i be pregnent?
ANSWER: For the most accurate result, it is best to wait a full two weeks (14 days) after ovulation before testing.  This will help avoid false negative results.  However, some pregnancy tests can detect a pregnancy as early as 10 days past ovulation.

Fatigue is another symptom of pregnancy.  It is certainly possible to be pregnant without any symptoms, though.  Some women go their entire pregnancy without having any major symptoms.  It just depends on how your body is reacting to the pregnancy hormones.

ANSWER: Back pain can be a pregnancy symptom, but not usually this early.  A pregnant test is the best way to determine whether or not you are actually pregnant.

QUESTION: i got my periods this month on june 24.am not pregnant!!!!!
my last few period dates were may 1st,may 29th,june 24th.today(june29th) is the 6th day of my cycle.this month which all dates we should have contact to get pregnant?during thelast cycle, i think i ovulated around the 11th day of the cycle(8th june) because i got egg white mucus on that day.

Answer
I can't give you an exact date, because your cycles may not be exactly the same.  You need to record your ovulation date for 3-4 cycles before you can be sure of a pattern.  What you need to do for now is continue to chart your cervical mucous and position.  When you first see a softening cervix and creamy or egg-white mucous, start making sure you have intercourse at least every other day, until you see a temperature rise or your cervix is no longer fertile.
