Heart-Shaped Uterus & Fetal Position: Pregnancy Concerns & Questions

Question
Hi this is my first pregnancy and I found out I have a heart shaped uterus. My daughter also lies sideways and low because of it. I'm 26wks now and I noticed last week that I don't feel her movements high( which hasn't been higher than my belly button) anymore only very low is this something to be concerned about? Can she get hung in certain positions? Also after the last couple of times that I have sex I noticed a lot of secretions from my vagina afterwards can sex break your water?

Answer
A bicornuate uterus can cause a baby to prefer the breech position.  However, this is less likely with a heart-shaped uterus like yours than it would be with a more distinctly divided uterus.  You can help encourage your baby to assume a head-down position by practicing good posture and positioning exercises such as those found at www.spinningbabies.com.  You're still very early on, and your baby has lots of time to get into the best position for birth.  As long as you are feeling movements, don't worry too much about where they are coming from.

Having sex alone will not break your water.  You may be noticing extra moisture because of hormonal changes associated with pregnancy.  This is normal, even after sex.
