Can You Get Pregnant After Tubal Ligation? - Signs & Information

Hi I just wanted to know if you can get pregnant after a tube ligation?
I had a baby nov.12th and I had my 1st period dec 31st and nothing since...it's about 40 days. I had my tubes tied at the same time as my c-section. I don't know if they were just tied or burnt.Should I consider a pregnancy test? or am I jumping ahead of myself? Thanks

It is possible, though rare, to get pregnant after a tubal ligation. However, I would be more concerned that your body still hasn't fully bounced back after your c-section than being pregnant. If you're breastfeeding, this can also delay your periods and this is perfectly natural and normal. If you're not, I recommend scheduling an appointment with your doctor just to check on things if it doesn't come in another week or two. I'd more likely place the blame on bodily stress than pregnancy at this point.
