Persistent Postpartum Bleeding & Severe Cramps: Seeking Medical Advice
Questioni had a baby 5 months ago and have been bleeding continuously since with the exception of a few days a month i also get really bad cramps and sweats and feel i am going to pass out the cramps are just below my ribs which i have never experienced there before.the bleeding gets worse when I'm angry and shouting(when i have been arguing with partner)this has been going on for 5 months so i would be very grateful for your suggestions of what may be causing this.THANK YOU for your time and advice.
AnswerYou need to see a doctor ASAP. There are a few things that could be wrong- from problems with blood clotting to your uterus not healing properly to even endometriosis. The sweating and feeling you are going to pass out are distressing signs of either loss of blood pressure due to blood loss or a severe iron deficiency (once again, it can also be due to blood loss).
Please schedule an appointment immediately. If you are bleeding through more than 2 pads a day, you need to go to the emergency room.
Best wishes,
Helen =)
