Questionthe 1st day of my last period was 2nd june 2008 i had sex the 1st june 2008 with guy 1 and had a normal 6 day perod, then had sex again on the 21st june with guy 2, took a pegnancy test the 10th july found out i was pregnant, then wen for my scan when i was 13 weeks 1 day which took it back to the 25th june which i didnt have sex on, is it certain that the baby is the 2nd guys?
AnswerBecause you had your period after having sex with the 1st guy, and given where your pregnancy is currently, your baby was fathered by guy 2. Sperm can stay viable in a woman's body for up to 5 days, so it would most likely be that it took until the 24th or 25th for the sperm to find an egg to penetrate. Due to you having your period and the conception date matching very well with your second encounter, I think it is safe to rule out guy 1 as the father.
However, I always recommend that anyone who has doubts about the paternity of their child to schedule a DNA paternity test with either the hospital/birthing center, or with the baby's pediatrician.
