Breast Lumps: Understanding Cysts, Risk Factors & Monitoring - Expert Advice
QuestionI have 7 lumps in left breast and 8 lumps in right breast. The doctor's diagnosis is multiple cyst and he advice to follow up and ultrasound every year. I'm anxious about it very much because my family has cancerous problem--My mother got breast cancer and treated chemotherapy last year and my father death caused of liver cancer for 6 years ago. I want to know that the lumps are developing to cancer in future or not, how can I observe and prevent it. Thank you for your kindness.
AnswerIn this situation I strongly suggest regular check ups at least once per year with mammography COMBINED with BOTH ultrasound breast scans AND MRI breast scans and with needle biopsies of anything unclear seen! If that is done any bad development should be caught early! Good luck!
