How Long Does It Take to Get Pregnant After Stopping Birth Control?

i recently stopped taking the pill after 2 and a half years. I was wondering how long it would take to get pregnant. Do you automatically ovulate? How many days before you ovulate?

Pregnancy is never a guarantee.  No one knows how high their fertility was when they were younger and now that you are 2 1/2 years older things could have changed.  Ovulation is supressed by the pill and sometimes takes a while to come back, sometimes it never does.  And sometimes it isn't supressed and women do get pregnant while taking the pill.  There is nothing certain about any of it.  

Ordinarily, you ovulate about day 14-18 after the first day your period starts.
