QuestionHI,
I have been on birth control for 6 months now and have no problem. In a month my boyfriend and i are planning on going on vacation, during this time my period is due to arrive. I have heard that if you start taking the new set of active pills right after you ended the last active set your period won't come. Is this true and if so is it safe?
AnswerHi,
Its true and it is safe. Now remember, sometimes there are a few problems that come along with it, and some women just can not successfully skip a period this way, but it does work for many women.
Side effects could be spotting or breakthrough bleeding, a headache or naseousness for a few days, or your period may come early, at the end of the second pack. Of course, it could all go fine, with no problems at all. It varies from person to person, so just keep that in mind when you make your desicion.
Thanks,
Drea Jean
