QuestionI'm on birth control (trinessa 28) and I am not always regular when I take it. I miss days a lot and I seem to never take it at the same time. Only basing this one the past week, I took it like four days. Missed one day. Took two the next day. And then one the day I had sex. I had sex twice that day. The first time with a condom and the second time without. When we had sex without he pulled out while he was in the middle of cumming. This was yesterday and I made sure I took my pill today and I started the period week pill today. If i start my period this week, is that a guarantee I'm not pregnant? And how much of a chance do you think there is that I actually am pregnant? I'm only fifteen and have been on the birth control for almost two months.
AnswerThe pill is like any other medicine, to have it work you have to take it exactly according to directions. From what you say, you are having difficulty taking it as you should and this will increase the chances of pregnancy.
If you get your period, and you recognize it as a real period like you usually have, you are not pregnant. If you don't get your period, wait a week and take a home pregnancy test exactly according to directions.
If you are not pregnant, you really need to get some sort of schedule to take the pill properly.
