Birth Control Delay: What Are My Chances of Pregnancy?

Question
If you could give me some reassurance on this situation, Id be so grateful. So Yesterday (Sunday) I was suppose to start a new pack of Birth Control but I haven't gotten it yet. So i didn't take a Sunday pill. My boyfriend and I had sex yesterday and he did ejaculate inside of me. So now its Monday and I don't have a pill today either. I am absolutely getting my birth control tomorrow (Tuesday).  SO Two questions:   Will I be ok as in not a very huge chance of being pregnant?   And   As some women "double up on pills" is it ok to "triple up on pills"?

Answer
I wouldn't recommend tripling up.  I would take 2 pills tomorrow and 2 pills Wed. and then go to one daily.  I think there's not a huge chance of your getting pregnant, but definitely some chance.  Those sperm from yesterday live for 2-5 days, so if you ovulate these 2 days when you're missing your pill you could get pregnant.  One thing that would help would be to take Plan B as soon as possible.  It's available without a prescription if you're at least 18.  Then it would be best to use a back up method of birth control for the next 2 weeks to decrease your chances of getting pregnant.
