Question
Im about to start taking birth control pills and im trying to figure out when i should take my pill. i want to take it in the morning but i heard that you have to take it at the same time everyday. so say if i woke up at 6 every morning and i took it right when i woke up. what would happen if i slept in and took it at like 9 or so so would that be bad.
because i during the summer i dont always wake up at the same time. please help.

Answer
Hi Laura,

How are you doing? I'm sorry I didn't get to your question very fast. I hope you haven't started taking the pills yet. The reason is that, in my opinion, there are a lot of side effects and risks. No birth control method is 100% safe in preventing pregnancy. But I really don't recommend hormonal birth control methods. If you email me at CHERYL51@aol.com we can talk more.

For your question, though, it shouldn't be too bad if you took your pill a couple of hours later and that shouldn't affect anything. Hope to hear from you soon.
