Switching Birth Control Pills: Understanding Your Options & Risks
QuestionI am 36 years old. I've taken Ortho Tri Cyclen for the past 10 years. Recently the program I've been on has changed, so I have to start taking different pills. Suggested were Yasmin, Microgynon, and Gynere. I would like to know if these are ok, the risks, or if there is something else that would be better.
AnswerHi Kim,
Can you tell me more about the reason/reasons you are on the birth control pill. I usually don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control method because of risks and side effects to your health. Have you had any problem with this in the last 10 years? Please email me at CHERYL51@aol.com so we can talk more.
Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
