Post-Depo Shot Irregular Periods & Pregnancy Concerns: What to Do

I was currently taking the depo shot as a birth control method. I stopped using it December of 2011. I have still not had my period, but I have been having some symptoms of pregnancy. I have taken at home pregnancy tests and they all have been negative. I don't even know if it is possible to get pregnant without having my period. I need some help on what could be going on and what I should do.

From what I understand, you are trying to get pregnant? You can go to a pregnancy resource center and get a free pregnancy test done there. Try these websites http://www.optionline.org or http://www.heartbeatservices.org to find a center near you.

You could also go to your doctor to see why you haven't had your period yet. But it is somewhat common to have problems with period regularity when you have been on depo. That's why I usually don't recommend any hormonal birth control methods. Let me know if you go to your doctor and what happens. You can email me privately at CHERYL51@aol.com
