Cellcept & Birth Control: Morning-After Pill Effectiveness

Question
Hi,
I hope you can help me. I am on Microgynon and I usually use a condom also as I am on 2000 milligrams of cellcept and 15 milligrams of prednisilone for an eye disorder. I had an accident with the condom Sat night and it burst I obtained the morning afterpill as I havnt been very consistent in taking my pill this month as in not at the same time and missed a couple of days. My question is do you think I am covered from pregnancy (does cellcept make the morning after pill less effective?)? Also can you reccomend a better form of contraception than microgynon (I used to be on the depo injection but it made me have alot of pain during sex due to dryness).

Thank you

Answer
Dear Angela,

Please email me at CHERYL51@aol.com
I will need to do some research to answer all your questions. I'm glad you are discontinuing the depo shot as I think that has a lot of side effects and risks. I don't recommend hormonal birth control methods. So anyway, just email me and put ALLEXPERTS in the subject line of your email. I'll answer as soon as possible.
