QuestionHi,
I was in a really bad relationship when I was younger, which resulted in many abortions (he refused to wear protection & I was raised sheltered and so never knew anything but the pill, which made me extremely sick, or condoms).
Many years later, I'm in a healthy relationship with my husband, and we would like to try to conceive, but I'm really afraid of what the previous abortions could have done to hurt our chances of carrying to term; any insight would be greatly appreciated.
(Btw, I have 2 children from my ex; no pregancy/birth complications, but then again, they were before the multiple abortions. Also, I've never had any infections, etc. from the abortions.)
Thanks for any help/referrals you can give.
AnswerDear Yasmin,
I have done research on this subject and have seen statistics that there is a possibility that you would have problems conceiving after abortion. I will try to find out more about your question. Are you on any kind of birth control at this time? Also, have you consulted with your own physician?
I will try to find you a referral. You can email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com
Hope to hear from you soon.
