To the best of my knowledge, unless this is very early in your pregnancy (4-5 weeks), there should be no problems in changing your mind at this stage because the laminaria by itself is not harmful to the pregnancy. Even if the pregnancy is very young, there is only a small chance of a spontaneous miscarriage occurring due to the dilated cervix. The cervix will go back to normal within about 10 days, and the only thing you need to do is take care not to insert anything at all into your vagina during this time. No tampons, no vaginal sex even with condoms, no douches, no baths (showers are ok), no swimming etc.
However, the effects of other medication that you are taking (like antibiotics), or the type of antiseptic that was applied to your cervix, may affect the health of your fetus.
