i have been spotting and cramping on my lower left side where my overy is located. im on birth control but i still think i may be pregnant. my boyfriend thinks otherwise(maybe stress, or maybe my off balance diet lately). this has been occuring for a period of a week and i should be coming on my period in a few days. what is going on? My boyfriend also wanted to know the average cost of an abortion, and is there an payment plans because we are students, and can't afford a baby right now.

The most simple way to answer the question is to buy an over the counter pregnancy test.  If it comes out positive, write me back and I can help you with your next decisions.  If you are interested in doing research on early abortion, you may look at earlyabortion.com; earlyabortionoptions.com; gynpages.com; prochoice.org.  Cramping on one side is not a typical symptom of early pregnancy. If it is persistent or gets worse, and you are not pregnant, you may want to see your regular gyn or primary care doctor.
