Post-Abortion Bleeding: Understanding Irregular Bleeds & When to Seek Medical Advice

hi, i used abortion pills atb home on the 2nd Feburary, i bled for 10 days and was spotting days after my period came the 4th of march and lasted for it usual 5 days and 2 days after I started to bleed again and it lasted for another 5 days, then my period came back the 3rd of last month and lasts for it usual time then a week after i started to bleed again with very large clots no pain for 3 days i was give antibiotics and to other medications by the doctor to use for 10 days and the were finished on the 27 of last month and my period started the day after, lasted for the same 5 days then i started to bleed again on Friday of this month for 2 days but not with very lagre clots like the time before. im naturally a healthy person eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Can u tell me wat is going on if this is normal after an abortion and how long it lasts for, how long will i take to heal, wat should i expect just please tell me everything u can on this and if there is anything i can use. i would be very grateful for an honest and quick response thank u very much for ur help.

Unfortunately the bleeding you are describing is common after the abortion pill.  It is common to have intermittent, irregular bleeding, sometimes with clots.  There is more information on this at:

The only treatment for irregular bleeding after the abortion pill that continues for months is to have a procedure. A procedure (surgical abortion or Aspiration Procedure) is usually effective immediately. In some sense it is up to you if you want to get the procedure. There are no long term consequences to the bleeding as long as you are not bleeding heavy enough to become anemic.  Eventually your cycle should come back to normal.
