QuestionQUESTION: my period delayed for a week. i took a test and its positive. So i decided not to conceive. I took cytotec pills. on the next day, something came out. a thick blood. it's about half size of my fist. i didn't feel any pain or cramps or any signs of contractions. there was no heavy bleeding. only spottings with white mucus. i thought it passed out of me already. two weeks after, i took another pregnancy test just to be sure it's gone already. but when i took the test, and it's still positive. what happen? am i still pregnant? these days, i crave for foods. i'm always hungry. What will i do? what if i will continue the pregnancy, what will happen to my baby? will he be normal like other babies? please help me.
ANSWER: Hello, april,
Please be aware that if you take a pregnancy test and it's positive, you have conceived.
It is my understanding that Cytotec alone won't produce an abortion. If you didn't have cramps or contractions, and the pregnancy test is still positive, there is a chance you are still pregnant.
Cytotec can kill a pregnant woman within hours. So please don't try that again. No doctor should ever give it to a pregnant woman. The manufacturer specifically says it is not to be used by a pregnant woman.
In addition to being hungry all the time, do you still feel soreness in your breasts?
The chances are very high that your baby will be fine. If not, you will probably miscarry, and since you haven't, then the baby may well still be OK. But there is a slight chance there will be problems. I recommend you go to a doctor you can trust, not someone who would give you a deadly drug, and let him examine and test you, and keep track of you.
Please let me know how you do, and feel free to ask more questions, or just talk to me because you need someone to talk to. I can help you find resources if you need them. Take care.

QUESTION: my last period was last april 6, 2009. how many weeks am i now? i took the pills last may 13. my discharges smells not good. it's color is some kind yellowish. i had headache most of the day.what signs are these?
ANSWER: Hi, april,
If you are pregnant, then here is how you figure out how pregnant you are. If you count from the last period, that is known as "last menstrual period". You would be two months pregnant. If you count from the time you probably conceived, that is known as "gestational age". You would be about six weeks. Your baby is already almost fully developed but still too small to survive on his or her own.
If you are still pregnant, if you are not overweight, you should be able to lie on your stomach on the bed and feel a lump where your uterus is, by now. If you weigh more, this might not work. If you don't feel a lump, that might tell you something. A lump could also exist if you have an infection and your uterus is inflamed.
It sounds like you may have a possible infection. If your abortion was incomplete, this is a real possibility. And if you didn't have the cramps and you still have a positive pregnancy test, evidently, the abortion wasn't complete. You could have an infection and still be pregnant. The smelly yellow discharge sounds like an infection to me. The headaches could also be tied in to all of that. Do you have fever, and do you feel weak? If so, that points to an infection as well.
Please go to a doctor. He should run tests and examine you. He should do an ultrasound. If you are still pregnant, he will be able to see your baby.
Please let me know what the doctor finds out. Please take care of yourself.

QUESTION: what could that be? the thick blood tissue that came out from me?
i don't have any fever, I don't feel weak either. I feel sleepy sometimes like I want to lay sleep and rest.
I'm afraid, If I will continue the pregnancy, the chances of having a fully developed and normal baby might not be given to me.
