QuestionI had an abortion about 3 weeks ago. I've had 3 previous abortions, but this is the first time that I've bled for 3 weeks afterwards, and I am getting a positive pregnancy test result. Could it be possible that the abortion was not successful? I had some pain during the first week after the abortion but I've had fresh red blood until a week ago, now the blood is brown. My uterus also feels a little tender if i touch my stomach while laying down? Is this something I should be worried about? The first 3 abortions i only bled for about a week.

Have you gone in for your post abortion checkup yet? If not, please do so or consult your doctor. We have been hearing reports of excessive bleeding from women who have had abortions. I can't tell you if you are pregnant or not but please get a medical opinion. Be careful of your health, especially excessive bleeding which could cause anemia or worse.
