QuestionQUESTION: Hi, i am not being able to concieve since my miss carriage which has happened on 2 nov 2009. Me and my husband both are fine. Check ups shows that everything is fine. Could you please advise. Some diet or something like that might help. Thanks.
ANSWER: Hello, janansari,
This isn't an area where I have done a lot of research, but I can still offer some thoughts.
First, have you ever had a surgical abortion? If so, did you tell your doctor about it? Nobody knows whether a pill abortion impairs a woman's ability to have a child, but surgical abortions definitely do. Also, how far along were you when you had your miscarriage? Did they do any treatment afterward, such as D&C? Are you taking any hormones? What spices do you use in your cooking? Have you ever had an infection in your uterus? What other kinds of foods do you eat or especially like? Are you taking any medications? Are you taking any herbs? Has your doctor tested your hormones? Are you very thin? Do you exercise a lot? Is your cycle normal?
There are several things you should definitely NOT eat. If you are drinking water supplied by the city where you live, switch to bottled mineral water. Here, we can get these in gallon bottles. If you have a choice, buy water in clear or transparent containers. You don't have to drink a lot of water, so if you are accustomed to drinking a lot of water, you can cut back without harming your body. I live in a desert climate, but I drink very little water. The reason for drinking bottled water is if there are women in UAE who are taking birth control, it can get into the water supply.
Stay away from American food or anything imported from the United States. There are all sorts of harmful ingredients in it. Don't eat or drink anything with artificial sweeteners in it. Don't eat or drink anything with soybeans or soy anything in it. Make sure that you get animal foods, such as meat, milk, or eggs. Vegetarians sometimes don't make enough hormones to be able to conceive. Butter is excellent for helping reverse this problem. Don't eat anything that is made artificially, such as margarine, and stay away from most oils. Olive oil and coconut oil are very good for you. From what I have heard, sesame oil is not a problem, but I'd have to check.
If you learn to tell when you are fertile, this might help. You must not be taking any hormones for this to work. For more information, go to this web site:

Then when you have fertile mucus, you can time your relations so that you are more likely to conceive.
Here is a good web site with a lot of information on this type of topic. It's a huge site, and you may have to do a lot of reading, but it has excellent information:

QUESTION: Thank you very much for all of your kind information and support..!! I had check up..that was normal, this is my first mis carriage and my first wedding anniversary is 01-may-2010, my diet is normal..i use to cook in canola or olive oil only...balanced diet like vegitables, grains and chicken. I use to drink mineral water only. I feel that every thing is normal. Is there any thing else which you specifically suggest for my husband as well as myself, including diet and test.
AnswerHello, janansari,
You're very welcome. Please look over my message; I asked some additional questions, like what spices you use in cooking. Stay away from canola oil. I don't know if that will make a difference, but it's a genetically engineered food. Don't heat olive oil too hot. If you want to heat your oil hot, use coconut oil. And go back to mineral water. You should try to find out what minerals are in the water you're getting; I can give you a link to more information when I have time, but at the moment, I won't be able to stay long.
Sometimes conceiving just takes awhile. If you follow my other suggestions, it may help. Good luck!
Hello again, janansari,
I found an article you may find helpful, about how to increase your chances of conceiving:
