QuestionSo my question is I had an abortion about 2 years ago, which was a very dreadful time for me. I'm a type one diabetic, and had a seizure one night and got put in the hospital which by then two doctors told me that if I continued to have the child that it could kill me. I was six weeks and two days pregnant when I had the abortion. When they took a picture of it, it was just still an egg, which didn't even develop yet into a child. That same day that I had an abortion I had the depo shot, and then another one three months after that. I stopped getting them and didn't have any birth control until the end of the month of September. I haven't had a period yet and it is really scaring me that my body is not working like it should. I was very excited to have found out that I got pregnant, and would like to get pregnant again. So my question is will I ever be able to get pregnant again? Amanda
AnswerHi Amanda,
I can't really tell you if you can get pregnant again. If you do find out you are pregnant, go to a pregnancy resource center where people will help you have a baby. Instead of doctors telling you that you have to have an abortion. Many diabetic women have healthy pregnancies but you have to find a doctor who will support and help you.
Are you married and ready to have a baby? Let me know. You can email me at CHERYL51@aol.com so we can talk more.
Oh, and to find a free pregnancy center, go to http://www.optionline.org or call 1-800-395-HELP.
Hope to hear from you soon.
