QuestionQUESTION: I've had almost 2 months ago my abortion. They inserted an mirena in the same procedure. I've had heavy cramping on about my 10th day. about 4 weeks after I got back pains (non stop) and quickly after cramping in stummic again (felt like period pain stummic, lower back pain I've never had with my period but think it's from that feels like the area and it's lower then kidneys and just above the tail (not sure what the name for that is in english)). after a month I went to the doctor who said it was just muscular (which I dont think it was and als when you feel in the vagina the entree to the uterus where the mirena was located felt hard and swollen), she did a swap and it was negative. Now past week went back, back pains got wurse and she looked again said the same thing (dont have the results yet since its christmas). Went 2 days ago to a different one since I thought she was wrong and a fysio wont work (besides a chiro and masage didn't work either), so he took the mirena out since I really thought it was that and he told me it indeed looked infected and didn't go out so smoothly as normal. Which kind of made me happy that I was right and kind of not since I'm now afraid its infected. I did take a 5 day course of anitbiotica about 2,5 weeks ago that my first doctor gave to me, didn't change much. Also my first one gave me an inflammentory painkiller (like ibprofen but a lot stronger, only aloud 1 a day and can't take any others with ibprofen in it). This painkiller doesn't kill any of the lower back pain that I have. Today has gotton a lot wurse that I can bearly bend anymore, (so not picking up things bending over of lifting things). I do must say I work in hospo (till last tuesday 50hours a week and do diving training 2 hours a week. I have vacation for a couple weeks now since last tuesday).
Could you give me an indication if my symptons look like its an infection and if its from mirena or abortion and if it's a bad one? I will go tuesday straight to a doctor for antibiotica I guess but last time it didnt do anything... today did get blown bleeding (2days now after I got the mirena taken out which should open the uterus).
Really hope you can give me some more info since the internet doesn't every ones symptons are different and also didnt have both mirena and abortion....
Kind regards Manon
ANSWER: G'day, Manon,
There are many different things that could be wrong in your case. I'll try to touch on each one, so you know what questions to ask the doctor. Obviously, nobody can diagnose the cause of your pain over the internet. It could take quite a bit of testing and examination to uncover the cause of your pain, and I can't guarantee it won't take awhile to get to the bottom of this.
To start, taking more antibiotics is very unlikely to make any difference. But they could cause you to develop some gastro-intestinal problems, and this could in turn lead to other problems. The intestines contain beneficial bacteria that help digest your food. Antibiotics kill these off. Because you already had a course of antibiotics, you need to take pro-biotics, and eat and drink fermented foods such as sauerkraut, kim chi, kombucha, freshly made yogurt, and so forth. Problems with your digestive system can cause pain and cramping. So I do not recommend you take more antibiotics. There are other things that cause infection, such as viruses and fungus. They should test for possible causes of pelvic inflammatory disease, which can be silent, but which can also cause pain. When they test, often they don't bother to test for things that they can't cure with antibiotics, so you should insist they test for these other things.
You have two possible sources of infection: the abortion and the Mirena. Most abortionists fail to follow basic procedures to maintain sterility. Many do not wash their instruments or sterilize them properly between clients. This means that not only can a woman get "ordinary" infections, but she can also get a sexually transmitted disease from a previous client (people who have sex out of wedlock often have several STDs). Mirena can cause perforation of the uterus, and the hormones in it will make a woman more susceptible to infection. Once you determine the cause of the infection, then you can find the proper natural remedy to treat it. In the case of a virus, this is necessary because medical science really doesn't know how to cure viruses. There are some drugs that will attack fungus, but they are fairly toxic and dangerous.
During the abortion, or from the Mirena, if you experience perforation of the uterus, this can cause pain. It can also cause internal bleeding and infection. It can result in damage to other organs. Have the doctor check your blood for anemia, and do an ultrasound to see what is going on. He should run a complete battery of tests for STDs as well. If you have a perforation, it will have to be repaired.
For these reasons and many others, if you are not married, I recommend you stop having sex. You deserve to be free of the fear of pregnancy, and contraceptive methods either cause health problems or they're unreliable or both. Please also keep in mind that abortionists do NOT inform their clients of the possible complications from abortion or IUDs, and they do not obtain informed consent. The many consequences of abortion have been the subject of several books.
The painkiller you are taking can also cause severe health problems. They all do. Some painkillers can even kill the patient in various ways, and sometimes without warning. Since you have been using both painkiller and Mirena, your body is probably toxic. This can lead to dislocation of bones, and chiropractic only addresses the spine, but given the pain is in that area, it does sound like it has affected the spine. But chiropractic is harsh and doesn't tend to last. If you experienced temporary relief, then the spine could still be involved. And if you still have the toxic load, things will become dislocated again very quickly. You would need to find someone who knows how to do low velocity manipulation. In addition to toxins as mentioned, if you eat any food or drink anything that has artificial sweeteners or monosodium glutimate, or other chemicals, this can also add to your toxic load. You should look at your diet very carefully and eliminate any such foods. Let me know if you have been doing any of this, because you may need to take a remedy to reverse the toxic load and the damage. I don't know whether or not genetically modified organisms are a problem in Oz, but if they are, stay away from those foods as well. Let me know more about your diet.
Your pain could also be unrelated to your abortion. If you eat food with soy in it (except fermented soy), or gluten, these can cause problems. Soy upsets a woman's hormonal balance.
The swollen and hard tissue indicates inflammation, and this can lead to a multitude of health problems. The first thing I would do about it is take herbs that help reduce inflammation. In particular, I have learned that resveratrol will reduce inflammation. Some supplements combine it with pterostilbene. And as I mentioned, you need to restore intestinal flora that the antibiotics have destroyed.
One of the things that you also need to notice is if you are having unexpected bleeding. This is something you need to tell the doctor about. If the bleeding from removing the Mirena doesn't subside right away, or if you have erratic bleeding, this should be taken into account. Do you have any other symptoms? Tell the doctor about them, and let me know, too, so I can think of other possibilities.
Pretty much this is all I can tell you, without having the opportunity to learn what a doctor finds out through tests. Let me know what you find out, and I may be able to make more suggestions. I hope and pray that the cause will be found quickly, but I have no expectations. Please take care of yourself and don't take any more chances with your body. You deserve better.

QUESTION: Well indeed I took straight with my antibiotics, probiotics aswell since I already made the mistake years ago not to do it then.
My diet does have a little of sweetners since I sometimes drink diet coke and try not to eat to many fabricated sugars. I do drink soy milk (not that much and from now on not anymore since I've stopped working so dont drink coffee at work anymore with soy, and at home I drink goats milk or rice milk or lactose free milk.
bleeding now is not heavy just like a last day of my period (and I have it veeeeery light compared to most people).
backpain is swapping a little to the left so have a feeling its not the spine or anything (and thats probably why masage or chiro didn't work).
When they did my abortion they tested all std's possible and cancer things aswell, I came out clean. I also dont have a partner or having sex (last time was beginning sept and then I've stopped it sadly found out I got pregnant a couple weeks later, I had my abortion they said it was 9weeks on that day).
I will go straight to the doctor tomorrow (womans hospital or else they cant do those tests besides the doctor isnt open).
I will let you know what comes out. Thank you so much already for now! It is a lot better thinking with more then just myself (or friends that arent doctors).
AnswerHello, Manon,
You're welcome.
You definitely should NOT drink any diet drinks! They contain sweeteners that are basically poisonous, and they don't help people keep weight off anyway. In fact, with some of them, a person will actually gain weight. Fructose or high fructose corn syrup is bad because it causes sugar spikes in the blood. But other sugars can be eaten and drunk in moderation unless you have a specific health condition such that you should stay away from them. Real honey is also acceptable; it contains a lot of valuable minerals. We have a problem with fake honey here, but I don't know about there. Being toxic is not helpful. I assume you are allergic to cow's milk. Goat's milk is excellent. Some people can't drink cow's milk, but can drink real cream. If you are avoiding cream in your coffee because you don't want the fat calories, you should stop worrying about it. Getting enough fat in your diet (especially animal fat) is ESSENTIAL to keeping fat off unwanted places on your body. Some of the vegetable oils are also not good for people. Canola, soy, cottonseed, and corn oil are all unhealthy. Margarine is bad for you, because it's made from these oils, but butter is OK. Coconut oil and olive oil are good for you. I know this sounds counter-intuitive, but I have done a lot of research, and I know this information is sound. If you want to lose fat, go on a low carb diet. Someone very dear to me is on Atkins, and it has been very helpful, so based on her experience, I think it is worth investigating.
Soy really is not good for you. It changes a woman's hormones and makes things worse. It is also a source of monosodium glutimate. MSG is an excitotoxin. It basically burns out your neurons. It can severely damage adrenal glands. Some people also have other adverse reactions.
If you are not having sex, you have no reason to have an IUD. So that's good. If you had broken up, I don't understand why they put an IUD in place. It makes no sense.
I also don't see how they could have tested for all STDs at the time of your abortion. There are over 50 of them.
If I were you, I would not go to anyone who was involved in providing your abortion. They won't want to find the problem because then they would have to admit they hurt you. In this country, at least, they'd be afraid of being sued. I don't know what the situation is there. You can go to the doctor in a few days, I suspect. But you certainly should try to find out if you have a different kind of infection as soon as you can.
Anyway, I hope this helps, and when you know more, I can tell you more. Take care.
