my name is habi and from nigeria westernpart of africa. I was so happy when i found this site,  pls i just had a surgical abortion 2weeks ago and have been experiencing lower backpain and also my rightside abdomen, i just hope all is well since have gone for an ultrasound and d doc. Said all went well and prescribe diclofenac potassium tab 50mg for d waist pain. Pls am scared and i really need your advice. Thanks

Your situation is a potential emergency, so I will keep this short. You need to see a different doctor. How far along were you when you had the abortion? Abortion is always dangerous, and can kill or hurt you badly, and surgical abortion can kill or hurt your future children. Please no more abortions.

If you were less than six weeks from your last menstrual period, then it would have been very difficult for them to guarantee that the abortion was successful and done safely. You could have a tubal pregnancy, or they could have caused you serious injury. You need to have this checked out right away. Please go to a good doctor, one who knows that abortion is bad medicine. The people who did the abortion are not likely to find anything wrong, because they won't want to admit they hurt you. Ask the doctor about the two things I have mentioned: tubal pregnancy, and injury. Just covering up the pain is a very bad idea. The pain exists for a reason, and it could be life-threatening. So please go immediately.
