Questionhi pat, i had an abortion on the 22nd of august and i now have a blood clot that is 3cm, they told me i would just pass it. this was yesterday.. this morning however i woke feeling nauseous and hot. i took my temp is 36.5 i'm just wondering, whats normal? whats not?
im bleeding still yes, not heavy tho, smaller clots are coming out here and there. could it be breaking apart? should it be? and how im feeling, is this normal? should i feel sick? pregnancy is rough on me and makes me really sick is it still just that? its been 5 days..

There is nothing normal about having an abortion. And so, there is nothing normal about what happens afterwards. Your temperature is normal. The remains won't break apart, unless they are retained for awhile. Did you have a surgical abortion or a pill abortion?
If you have trouble with nausea due to pregnancy, the best remedy is to sip ginger tea or ginger ale (with real sugar) and make sure and get your vitamins and plenty of protein when you can eat. The fact that you are still experiencing nausea is not too surprising, so try that. As long as your temperature is normal, that is more likely to be the case. The shifting hormones might make you feel feverish. There is also the possibility you have the flu. Having an abortion will weaken your immune system as well. If you don't pass the blood clot soon, you should see a doctor. Don't go back to the person who provided the abortion. That person will not want to find any problems, because of conflict of interest. Find someone who knows that abortion is bad medicine, and who knows how to handle complications. Then follow his instructions.
It will probably take several weeks for your hormones to go back to the pre-pregnant state, so don't be surprised by anything. If you had a pill abortion, be prepared for unexpected heavy bleeding any time. As a preventative, it may help if you take some cayenne (which you can get at a health food store) or eat foods with red hot peppers in it. If the bleeding gets too heavy, get some medical care.
