QuestionI had my abortion about six days ago, and I am very tired and I have to force myself to eat. I don't feel "normal". I still feel tenderness in my breast and after the abortion i didn't bleed at all! Please help, is this normal?
AnswerHeather, people experience abortions differently so what may be normal for one person may not for be for another. Ultimately, you know your body the best and if there is something that feels wrong, I wouldn't hesitate to conact the clinic or doctor where you received the abortion or even a crisis pregnancy center if you need help. If you choose the latter, there is one I usually recommend called optionline.org (they have an 800 number and even AOL IM) and they say they can help with post-abortion problems.
Also, if you are farther along in the pregnancy, there can be more complications. Bleeding isn't always normal or abnormal. Tenderness in the breast may just be your body responding to the abortion and I would imagine would go away soon. However, if it continues, don't hesitate to seek out a doctor (or even a nurse if you know one). I mentioned the above place because you may not feel comfortable meeting someone or telling a doctor about your abortion.
Hope that helps and let me know if I can be of any more help.
