Best Fake Nails for Beginners: Tips & Longevity

So I've never had any kind of fake nails before and I need some advice on which kind is the best for me and how often I  would need to go back and have them touched up. The main reason I want fake nails is because I hate how nail polish on my natural nails chips off an hour after I paint them. I just want something simple and natural- I don't want anything too long or flashy. I also want something that isn't going to leave my natural nails completely torn up. I love my natural nails, I just want my polish to stay on! : )

I want to stress to you first off, that NO enhancements (AKA FAKE NAILS) ruin your natural nail.  Ever!!  What tears them up is a heavy handed tech using aggressive filing and removal techniques!!
